About the school

  • The school began in 1977 as a sixth-form college, initially based at the home of its founder, Malcolm van Biervliet d’Overbroeck. It now has three sites across Oxford: the senior school, international school (for ages 13 to 16) and sixth form. About half of the total student population is made up of overseas students.
  • While the three schools are on separate sites, pupils come together for events, drama productions and weekend boarding activities.
  • Facilities include a music suite, an arts centre (with a dark room, workshops and a kiln) and the 200-seat multipurpose Cohen Hall. Students also have access to sports facilities through the University of Oxford.
  • Since 2021, d’Overbroeck’s has been part of Nord Anglia Education, a group operating more than 80 schools in 33 countries. This allows students to join the Global Campus , an online learning platform through which they can work with children at partner schools around the world.
  • The school offers scholarships, covering up to 25 per cent of fees, in academic subjects and the performing arts.
