“The school prioritises pupils’ academic excellence and personal development. Pupils experience an exceptional curriculum that enables them to learn and to achieve exceedingly well. They understand the connection between positive behaviour and learning well. Pupils are extremely attentive and behave sensibly around the school. Pupils are incredibly proud of the diversity in their school. They enjoy sharing information about their backgrounds and their experiences with each other. They take an active role within the school community and embrace the extensive leadership opportunities on offer. The school is determined that no limits are placed on what pupils can achieve.”

About the school

Opened in 2019, the co-ed state secondary was rated “outstanding” in its first Ofsted report in 2023. Didsbury Sixth Form opened in 2023.
The school is a member of the Laurus Trust, a multi-academy trust supported by the millionaire businessman and philanthropist Andrew Law . The trust is committed to providing an exceptional academic education to its group of schools across Stockport, Manchester, Tameside and Cheshire East.
Four “Cornerstones” underpin all areas of school life. These are: academic aspiration; leadership and service; culture, creativity and rhetoric; and competition and physical endeavour.
Laurus Trust schools offer an elite sport pathway in partnership with Loughborough University, teaching students how to live, learn and train like a professional student-athlete.
