“Conyers School is an aspirational and supportive environment where pupils are happy to attend. The school motto is ‘perseverando’ and pupils are expected to work hard and give their best. Staff support them to do so. Leaders have high expectations of what pupils can achieve, both academically and more widely. The school celebrates the success of past pupils, alongside rewarding the efforts and achievements of existing pupils … Pupils are offered a wide range of opportunities to enrich their school experience. The Go Music and Go Sport programmes ensure that pupils have access to specialist tuition to develop their talents.”

About the school

Award-winning international trip leadership contributes to the rich educational experience offered by Conyers. The school’s trips and visits co-ordinator was honoured as 2024 school trip champion at the School Travel Awards for organising a range of forays from Stockton-on-Tees — from watersports in the south of France to educational visits to New York.
Focus days form part of the personal development curriculum, exploring themes of identity, creativity, diversity, perseverance, community and wellbeing.
Academic success comes in tandem with achievements in music, drama, art and sport. The orchestra and vocal ensemble perform recitals and shows. School sports teams perform well in local, district and national competitions.
Sixth-formers have the choice of 24 A-levels and the school offers BTec courses in engineering, and health and social care.
