About the school

  • Claremont 100 is a school-wide fundraising initiative launched in September 2022 to mark the school’s centenary. It aims to raise £100,000 to support local charities.
  • Sixth-form students can participate in the “vInspired” volunteering award scheme, a UCAS-endorsed award for 10, 50 or 100 hours of flexible volunteering.
  • The co-curricular offering is broad, with activities ranging from ultimate frisbee, food and food science clubs to debating.
  • As the senior school has grown, class sizes have remained small. The senior school has moved to a vertical house structure where tutor groups mix pupils of different ages to create a trusted environment. Pupils who join the school at 11 will have a tutor who stays with them for five years.
  • Means-tested bursaries are available, as are academic and co-curricular scholarships.
