- In 2022 the school launched a pioneering engineering course with Brown University, in the US.
- The climate change programme teaches students to respect the natural world, take responsibility for the guardianship of our environment and be resourceful in tackling the problems associated with climate change.
- There are more than 100 co-curricular teams and societies, and students continue to add to this number, latterly a neurodiversity club and an economics club. Other popular activities include robotics, the Afro-Caribbean society, Japanese pen pal exchange, chamber choir, cricket, debating and radical artists club.
- The school works with industry partners such as Linklaters and Schroders to run webinars, workshops and courses for pupils, who can gain work experience. There are regular trips to museums, conferences and theatres.
- About 100 pupils receive means-tested bursary support. There are about 15 bursary places to allocate at 11-plus and three to four at 16-plus. Scholarships may be awarded to pupils for outstanding merit and promise in music, drama, art and sport.
