“Pupils receive a first-class education at CCF. This is reflected in the excellent examination results, as well as their highly positive attitudes to school and respect for others. The bringing together of academic excellence and high expectations for pupils’ conduct is what makes CCF so successful. Behaviour across the school is impeccable. There is little, if any, low level disruption in lessons, and pupils behave very sensibly around the school, including in the lunch hall. This calm and purposeful atmosphere is the result of the school’s exceptionally strong ethos. Pupils enjoy coming to school and their attendance is especially high.”

About the school

Christ’s College Finchley is a non-selective coeducational academy serving students aged 11-18 in East Finchley, London.
It has close to 1,000 pupils and is known for combining strong academic outcomes with a rich extracurricular programme.
During its latest ungraded Ofsted inspection in February 2025, inspectors highlighted the school’s excellent examination results at both GCSE and A-level, along with its positive learning environment.
Enrichment activities include robotics, a climate council and a debating club.
The school has a long and proud rugby heritage. In the 1870s, the original scrum cap was invented at Christ’s College Finchley and worn by its 1st XV, contributing to the evolution of the sport.
