- CSGS — known as “Chis and Sid” — takes great care to ensure that students have a voice at all ages, through roles as form or sports captains, in debating and diversity clubs, and by turning to mental health first aiders on staff.
- There are more than 100 clubs and societies, ranging from sport, drama and music, to chess and writing for Chronicle, the school magazine that has been published every year since 1931. Students also form new clubs each year based on their interests.
- Tennis players, netballers, cricketers and athletes are among those who have had recent success in local, regional and national competitions.
- Guest speakers inspire students to make their mark in the same way as some of the school’s distinguished alumni, including the illustrator Sir Quentin Blake and the England cricketer Ollie Robinson.
