About the school

  • Every year the school takes the entire lower sixth form to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau.
  • Pupils and staff take part in Brighton Pride and the “green team” helps to shape the school’s ambitious sustainability goals.
  • There are more than 150 activities per week, with clubs and societies for dissection, Ted Talk appreciation, knitting and stand-up comedy.
  • Dance is hugely popular for both boys and girls, and a new dance school and world-class, 400-seat theatre opened this year.
  • There are weekly classes on mindfulness and yoga, and a dedicated wellbeing centre for pupils. Regular sea-swimming sessions are held with a cold-water therapist and talks on how good sleep hygiene can lead to better physical, mental and academic performance.
