What the school inspection says

The quality of education and behaviour and attitudes were judged to be outstanding. “Pupils … benefit from very high expectations of what they can achieve. They learn a coherent and meticulously planned curriculum. Pupils develop strong levels of self-motivation in their learning. Consequently, they do exceptionally well. This includes pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (Send), who receive excellent support.”

About the school

Since 1900, BUCHS has prided itself on providing a first-class Catholic education. It is girls-only for pupils aged 11-16, with a coeducational sixth form, and is partially selective in Year 7 according to musical aptitude.
Many musical groups and performance opportunities feature in the comprehensive range of extracurricular activities at the school in west London. There are clubs for dance, coding, justice and peace, history detectives, rock painting, cake decorating and Stem subjects and pupils can challenge themselves by participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme.
The global Ursuline schools network opens up opportunities for sixth-formers to take part in service projects with teenagers in Britain and America.
BTec business and performing arts courses are available alongside A-levels.
