- Bramcote College’s origins can be traced back to two schools, a secondary modern boys and a technical grammar, opened in the 1940s and 1950s, respectively. A fire in the old school building in 2021 led to its subsequent demolition.
- In 2027, Bramcote College will move into its smart new three-storey home, located on the same site on the outskirts of Nottingham. The culmination of many years of planning, the design meets the Department for Education’s sustainability targets and will include modern facilities, such as science labs, a theatre, sports provision and a dedicated sixth-form space.
- The relatively small sixth form has a high success rate, thanks to its wide range of academic and vocational courses and strong personalised support for students. Extracurricular activities such as British Sign Language are offered and about 90 per cent of pupils gain entry to their first-choice universities.
- Diversity flourishes within the school, with staff and students representing more than 50 countries and languages from around the globe.
