About the school

  • The school runs a series of careers lectures called Perspectives. This year’s series focused on computer science and coding.
  • In the senior school, extracurricular activities run at lunchtime and after school, with sports fixtures, outdoor learning and rehearsals often on weekends.
  • There are about 100 clubs and societies in drama, music, sports, chess, art, outdoor pursuits and more.
  • Pupils hone their public speaking and debating skills at the junior and senior literary and debating societies. Older students often run clubs, taking on leadership and mentoring roles.
  • One in five pupils receives a bursary based on their performance in the entrance exam and the degree of assistance required. Parents with an income of less than circa £20,000 may be offered full remission of fees. A number of scholarships are available to pupils entering in Year 7 who staff believe will make a strong contribution to the academic and wider life of the school.
