- Bishop Vaughan Catholic School is a coeducational school informed by its Catholic foundation.
- The school’s governors and staff are committed to “the provision of an inclusive, Christian education … in accordance with the principles and teachings of the Catholic faith.”
- The school has an “eco-schools committee”, a student-led group for all year groups.
- Extracurricular activities offered to pupils include volleyball, Duolingo club, faith council and board games club. Beyond this is the supercurricular programme, provision for which includes masterclasses delivered by academics from Swansea University, workshops and projects, and subject conferences.
- Sixth-formers can choose from A-levels in a range of subjects as well as a number of BTec Level 3 courses, and the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales.
