About the school

  • Benenden School, in Kent, has recently refurbished its boarding houses and has work planned for its dormitories, social spaces and sports facilities.
  • It is one of the few girls’ schools in the UK to run a Combined Cadet Force contingent, and dozens of pupils complete the bronze and gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards each year.
  • In addition to joining more than 150 activities and clubs, students have plenty of opportunities to perform music and drama, and can try out for a place in sports squads including lacrosse, netball, tennis, rounders, swimming and athletics. There is also hockey, squash, trampolining, rowing, rugby and equestrian sports available.
  • The Weekend Programme enables pupils to try new activities with their friends.
  • Means-tested bursaries are open to UK residents. There is also assistance available for military or diplomatic families in receipt of the government’s Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA).
