- Bolingbroke is part of the Ark network of 39 schools in London, Birmingham, Hastings and Portsmouth. Ark stands for Absolute Return for Kids.
- It became Wandsworth’s first free school when it opened in 2012.
- Although the academy is new, it is housed in the historic (and grade II listed) former Bolingbroke hospital. The library, in the old children’s ward, retains the 100-year-old decorative tiles that depict scenes from nursery rhymes.
- The school has been named Wandsworth’s happiest school, based on Ofsted data over five years.
- The motto Fortiter ubique (Ever courageous) comes from the coat of arms of Canon John Erskine Clarke, founder of Bolingbroke hospital.
